Candace Uba, PharmD, MBA

First-Year Fellow

As a result-oriented professional, Dr. Candace C. Uba is passionate about supporting medical strategy through innovative critical thinking and patient-centric problem solving. Candace leverages her clinical experience to bring a new perspective across several therapeutic areas, including cardiology, nephrology, psychiatry/sleep disorders, and rare disease. Early exposure to the pharmaceutical industry allowed Candace to gain experience in bench and clinical research, medical information/communications, medical writing, market access, advertising, and promotion regulatory affairs. Her experience within medical affairs has allowed her to acquire a well-founded understanding of patient care, team collaboration, efficient communication skills and other proficiencies specific to clients’ needs.

Prior to joining ECIR in 2022, Candace obtained a Doctorate of Pharmacy from Mercer University’s College of Pharmacy. During that time, Candace also obtained a Master’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Healthcare Administration from Mercer University’s Stetson School of Business. Candace holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. Throughout her academic training, Candace held various leadership positions, gained retail pharmacy experience, and devoted her extra time to underserved communities.
