Julie earned her MS degree in Occupational Therapy from SUNY Downstate Medical Center in 2013. She began her OT career at Burke Rehabilitation Hospital, primarily working with orthopedic patients, where she was also able to assist in clinical research. After the birth of her second child, Julie transitioned to supporting the pediatric population. She is currently developing therapeutic group programs for children living in domestic violence shelters with a NYC-based foundation. She was invited to present a poster on this project at the NY State OT Association 2022 conference. Julie is a certified Health and Well-being Coach through Wellcoaches, an affiliate of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine. She brings her expertise in compassionate, evidence-based care and focus on client-driven goals to her role at ECIR.
